Toro Alteno is made using traditional methods at Productos Finos de Agave.  Productos Finos de Agave has remained a family-owned and operated business since it opened its distillery in 1996. They are focused on only producing the highest quality tequilas with excellent flavor.
Los Altos is a town in the Jalisco Highlands (Los Altos de Jalisco) where tequila has arich tradition and history. The Productos Finos de Agave distillery is located in theseJalisco Highlands in a small town called Jesus Maria.
The red volcanic soils and abundant sunshine in this region are perfectly suitedfor growing the finest blue weber agave.  The region of Jalisco’s highlands is wellrecognized for having the best blue Agave (always more expensive than others in theregion). Agaves that are grown in this highlands area are larger and sweeter inaroma and taste. (By contrast, lowland tequilas are more herbaceous).
